Released in 1988, the Alesis Midiverb II rapidly became a favourite unit in studios due to its exceptional ease of use. Essentially a box with 99 preset effects in it, all you had to do was punch in the 2-digit patch number you wanted to access reverb, gated reverb, reverse gated reverb, delays, flanging and chorus effects, The Midiverb II Impulse Pack contains 79 impulses of the reverb and delay programs built in to the unit:

The Alesis Picoverb is barely any larger than it's own power adaptor, but it is a surprisingly ruggedly built effects box. Feb 07, 2013 I've got the Midiverb I, II and the Quadraverb which I think was more commonly used by Warp artists. My opinions: Midiverb I: 12-bit, crappy phono connectors, odd PSU. Great for 80s reverbs on drums (rooms, gates, reverse) and a lots of long settings for droney stuff. The Midifex is the same box but with delays, echoes and a few.
