The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 has just gotten itself an Android 6.0 Marshmallow ROM that partly works for now, but is promising, and the developer nels83 should soon be able to sort out the remaining bugs/issues.

For the unknowledged, the Galaxy Tab 3 is a 2013 device so it is past its promised software upgrade period. There’s no way Samsung would officially release Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to the Tab 3. But that doesn’t mean your Tab won’t run the Marshmallow release.
An AOSP based custom ROM like this one, or CM13 probably in the future, is your best hope to get the freshest release of Android installed on your Tab 3.
