1. Download this ZIP-File “Photoshop-4K-Solution.zip” (Don’t worry, it’s not a virus – if you’re too scared, you can do it manually, I explain how more below)
   This ZIP file contains two files: “PreferExternalManifest.reg” and “Photoshop.exe.manifest”.
2. Double Click “PreferExternalManifest.reg”, and it will insert a registry entry into Windows
3. Copy the File “Photoshop.exe.manifest” to where your Photoshop.exe is located. Make sure that it has the same name as your Photoshop.exe plus the “.manifest”.

That’s it. Now Photoshop will look almost “normal” again.

If you want to convert it back, just right click on your Photoshop-Icon, go to Properties, then Compatibility and check “Override high DPI scaling behavior”:

How to do it manually without using my ZIP-File

To scared to do open my ZIP-Files? No problem, you can do it manually yourself:

Instead of double clicking the file I have provided “PreferExternalManifest.reg”, do this:

1. Press Windows Button + R, and then type “regedit”, click OK.
2. Navigate to the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/SideBySide
3. Right-click on “SideBySide, then select NEW/DWORD (32 bit) Value like this:
   
4. Type “PreferExternalManifest”, and then press ENTER.
5. Right-click “PreferExternalManifest”, and then click Modify.
6. Enter Value Data 1 and select Decimal. Click OK

Next, you have to download the ZIP file and copy that manifest-File to your Photoshop Folder.
